What you can expect from every guide and comparison on The Price Pickr.

Our job

The Price Pickr exists to help people in the US pay less for their phone plan, home internet and the tech they buy. We are useful only if you can trust the numbers, so accuracy beats speed and clarity beats clever marketing language.

How we research

  • Primary sources first. Prices and plan terms come from the carrier's or provider's own website, plan documents and broadband labels. Where we rely on independent research, such as network speed studies, we name and link the source.
  • Everything dated. Prices change constantly. Every comparison shows when it was last checked.
  • No invented numbers. If we cannot verify a figure, we leave it out or say that it is unconfirmed.

Independence

We earn money through affiliate commissions when a reader signs up or buys through some of our links (see our affiliate disclosure). That relationship never decides what we write or how plans are ranked:

  • Rankings follow the method on our how we rank page. A partner does not get a better position.
  • Carriers and retailers do not review or approve our content before it is published.
  • We include and recommend plans we earn nothing from when they are the better deal.
  • We do not accept payment for reviews, rankings or "sponsored" placements inside comparisons.

How we write

Plain English, the important number first, and the catch stated as clearly as the benefit. If a plan slows down after 35 GB, that belongs in the first line, not in a footnote. We avoid words like "free" for anything that requires another purchase, and we label estimates as estimates.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and, for anything more than a typo, note the correction at the bottom of the page with the date. You can report an error through our contact page. We read every message.

Who is behind The Price Pickr

The Price Pickr is published by Fort Assets, an independent company that also runs De Prijsvergelijker, a price comparison site for phone plans, internet and energy in the Netherlands. The Price Pickr applies the same approach to the US market: real prices, the network you actually get, and no ranking for sale.
