Verizon plans and prices
Verizon runs one of the three national networks and is known for wide, reliable coverage, including in many rural areas. In June 2026 it added Simplicity, a single plan with a flat price per line, alongside its myPlan unlimited plans.

Verizon at a glance
Verizon now sells two families of plans. Simplicity costs the same per line no matter how many lines you add, with 500 GB of premium data, 720p video and a 10 GB hotspot. myPlan (Unlimited Welcome, Plus and Ultimate) gets cheaper per line as you add lines and lets you add perks such as streaming bundles for $10 to $15 a month each.
The listed prices assume Auto Pay with paper-free billing; without it, each line costs $10 more. Taxes and fees come on top. Verizon ended the 3-year price lock for new myPlan customers in June 2026, so a price you sign up for today can change.
Verizon's premium plans are where it stands out: Unlimited Plus and Ultimate get top priority on the network, 4K video on 5G Ultra Wideband and large hotspots, and Ultimate includes 15 GB of high-speed data abroad every month.
Pros and cons
What we like

Watch out for

- Auto Pay required for the advertised price
- No price lock for new customers
Who Verizon is best for
People who need the most reliable coverage where they live or travel and use the premium extras. If you just want Verizon's coverage at a lower price, Visible and Total Wireless run on the same network.
Switching to Verizon and keeping your number
To bring your number, you need your current carrier's account number and a transfer PIN. Do not cancel your old line yourself; it closes automatically once the transfer completes. Our guide on keeping your number walks through every step.
Leaving Verizon? Dial #PORT from your Verizon phone or create a Number Transfer PIN in My Verizon. The PIN is valid for 7 days. Turn off Number Lock first.
Using Verizon abroad
TravelPass costs $12 a day in 210+ destinations and $6 a day in Mexico and Canada, where most current plans already include use. Compare with travel eSIMs on our eSIM & travel page.
