Privacy policy
We collect as little as possible. No ad trackers, no selling of personal information.
Who we are
The Price Pickr (thepricepickr.com) is operated by Fort Assets, Alexanderveld 5, The Hague, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 91400295. Fort Assets is the controller of the personal information described below. You can reach us through our contact form.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, we store your email address, the date and the page where you signed up. We use it only to send the weekly deals email.
- Contact messages. If you use the contact form, we store your name (optional), email address and message so we can reply.
- Outbound clicks. When you click a link to a carrier or retailer, we count the click with the time, the destination, the page you clicked from and your country (derived from your IP address by our hosting provider). We do not store your IP address and we cannot identify you from this count.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request data to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to build profiles.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or analytics that identify you. The site does not set cookies of its own. If we ever add analytics, we will update this page first.
Affiliate links
When you leave our site through an affiliate link, the carrier or retailer, and the affiliate network that connects us (for example eBay Partner Network), may use cookies or similar technology on their own website to attribute a sale to us. Their privacy policies apply to that processing.
Legal basis and retention
Newsletter emails are sent with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by contacting us. We delete your address within 30 days of unsubscribing. Contact messages are kept for up to two years so we can follow up and spot recurring problems. Click counts contain no personal information and are kept in aggregate.
Sharing
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use service providers to run the site: Cloudflare for hosting and data storage, and, once the newsletter starts, an email delivery service to send it. They process data only on our instructions.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with privacy laws, and the European Union under the GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to stop processing it. Contact us through the contact form and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
The Price Pickr is meant for adults comparing household services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. Material changes are announced in the newsletter.
