What Picky checks

The cheapest plan is not always the best one. We show how long each plan lasts, whether "unlimited" really is unlimited or slows to 2 Mbps, and what the same trip costs with your carrier's day pass, so you can pick with the full picture.

Frequently asked questions

What is a travel eSIM?

A digital SIM you buy online and install on your phone before your trip. It gives you local data at local prices, next to your normal US line. No plastic SIM card, no store visit.

Is a travel eSIM cheaper than my carrier's international pass?

Almost always for trips longer than a day or two. Verizon and AT&T charge $12 a day, so a week costs $84. A week with 5 GB on a travel eSIM costs between about $8 and $20 depending on the destination.

How do you compare eSIM prices?

We list every one-time plan from Airalo, Saily and Ubigi for each destination, in US dollars, and rank them by price for the trip length and data you pick. We check prices by hand; this round was checked October 22, 2026. Some links earn us a commission, which never changes the order.
