Mint Mobile at a glance

Mint has four plan sizes: 6 GB, 17 GB, 23 GB and Unlimited. The longer you prepay, the lower the monthly price: on a 12-month term, Unlimited works out to $30 a month and the 6 GB plan to $15. Shorter terms cost more after the first period.

New customers can currently get any 6-month plan for $10 a month ($60 up front). After those six months, the plan renews at the regular 6-month price, which for Unlimited is $35 a month. Taxes and fees are not included.

Unlimited may be slowed after 50 GB in a month when the network is busy, and includes up to 20 GB of hotspot. Video streams in standard definition. Mint runs with lower priority than T-Mobile's own premium plans.

Switching to Mint Mobile and keeping your number

To bring your number, you need your current carrier's account number and a transfer PIN. Do not cancel your old line yourself; it closes automatically once the transfer completes. Our guide on keeping your number walks through every step.

Leaving Mint Mobile? Choose "keep my number" when you activate and enter your old carrier's account number, transfer PIN, ZIP code and billing address.

Using Mint Mobile abroad

Mint plans include calling to Mexico and Canada; for data abroad, a travel eSIM is usually cheaper than Mint's add-ons. Compare with travel eSIMs on our eSIM & travel page.
